🏝️ Campground Review: Camp Margaritaville RV Resort and Cabana Cabins Auburndale Florida

We are a recently retired couple, who decided to purge most of our belongings that we collected over 40 plus years, and set out in September 2022 to travel and explore the country in our Class A motorhome.

After a few short months, I was missing my family back home in Buffalo NY.

We needed to find a tropical, family-friendly location that would be the perfect destination for my daughter and her young family to come to visit.

🌟 About Camp Margaritaville

Camp Margaritaville RV Resort in Auburndale Florida is a vacation destination in itself.

It truly encompasses the word RESORT.

Owned by none other than Jimmy Buffet, it will make you feel like “it’s 5 o’clock somewhere” all the time!

It is a location that offers something for everyone, from the smallest children, their parents, and even the young at heart grandparents.

You could spend your entire stay enjoying the island atmosphere here without leaving the complex.

But, if you desire to participate in any of central Florida’s attractions, this is a fabulous base location.

🏊‍♀️ Activities and Amenities

WOW! I have never been to an RV resort with so much to choose from!

My young grandson enjoyed spending time on the safe playground and the splash pad for the littles, while my older grandson enjoyed the larger pool with the large waterside.

Plenty of clean newer lounge chairs for the adults to relax.

Forgot the kid’s lifejackets? No worries. They offer lifejackets and floaties free of charge to use.

Next to the pool was a family-style pizza and burger restaurant for fast food and soft drinks.

Adjacent to the pool, there is also a gym, video arcade, laundromat, and more restrooms.

There is a second newly completed pool towards the back of the resort on the lake.

⛳️ For The Kids

There is a large area where the kids gather daily called ‘The Green’.

There are paid activities directors who organize games and events for the kids.

My grandchildren couldn’t wait to go every day!

Other activities, while we were there, included a build-a-bear-type event and a bird show that was superb!

The mini golf is far superior to any other mini golf we have seen at any RV resort.

🔥🍹 Adult Amenities Too

Next to the Green, is the large adult tiki bar, with many fire pit areas for the adults to gather and meet new friends while the children are close by having a blast.

🦅 More Things to Do

You can even spot the Bald Eagles that occupy the nature preserve on the lakeside of the property.

Sorry for the blurry picture but it was awesome to see in person.

There are actually two Bald Eagles with babies in the nest that you can view on YouTube.

There is a bike trail very close to the front gate that connects to over 30 miles of maintained trails.

Several dog waste stations could be found throughout the entire resort.

🏪 General Store

There is a large store where I brought my grandchildren every night to buy an ice cream treat.

The store had a limited supply of food staples, RV supplies, toys, and Margaritaville-branded gifts.

There are refillable cups available for purchase that you can refill every 10 minutes while you stay for up to 5 days.

The more you buy, the more you save. Refill stations are available at the pool and the general store.

Being in only a 30-foot motorhome, with my husband and I, along with 4 additional guests, we booked one of the Motorhome Suites to have an extended living space.

Included was a large tiki hut which contained an L-shaped bar with stools, a large kitchen sink, electric, outdoor TV, ceiling fan, a large Kamado Joe grill, Adirondack chairs, and a hammock.

The site was amazing.

We enjoyed Camp Margaritaville RV Resort so much that we returned two additional times this year and I’m sure that we will go back again!
