We arrived in Nashville, eager to explore the city and all its sites.

We stayed at Nashville KOA in our RV and Gaylord Opryland was just a stone’s throw away.

While we were only there for a couple of nights, we wanted to make the most of it.

We’d heard that Gaylord Opryland was one of the most luxurious resorts around and couldn’t wait to check it out.

👉 Inside Opryland Resort

Our first stop was a tour of the sprawling indoor atrium.

As soon as we stepped inside, we were taken aback by how grand it was and were absolutely blown away by the sheer beauty of this luxury resort.

The two-story windows flooded the area with natural light while lush green plants surrounded us on all sides.

After taking some time to admire our beautiful surroundings, we decided to take advantage of some of the resort’s other amenities.

The resort had an array of dining options ranging from casual eateries to fine-dining restaurants.

All were serving up delicious dishes prepared with locally sourced ingredients.

We spent an evening sampling various cuisines before heading back out into the atrium for live music performances that took place every night throughout the week.

We got to listen to some amazing artists while we enjoyed a few drinks and danced away the night.

With so much entertainment available at our fingertips, it truly felt like a vacation within a vacation!

🚤 Boat Ride

Yes, you read that right.

We specifically went for the Halloween Boat Ride.

The Delta Riverboat takes you on a ride through the atrium.

With only a few days to spare, I braced for an unforgettable experience on the Ghouls Night Out Riverboat Ride at Delta.

On this fascinating 4.5-acre journey winding its way through, we enjoyed theatrics from actors dressed up along our route as well as captivating commentary from guides familiar with tales and anecdotes they just had to share!

The Delta is made up of samples from 1,700 of Earth’s many rivers gathered around the globe, (including all US-registered ones!).

What’s more, in addition, there are huge Koi fish in the water for your viewing pleasure.

🌟 About Gaylord Opryland Resort

The Gaylord Opryland Resort was a sight to behold.

Located in Nashville, Tennessee, it had more than 2,800 rooms and suites for travelers from all over the world.

Built in 1977 as a 600-room hotel, it soon expanded into one of the most luxurious resorts anywhere. It features

indoor gardens spanning 4.5 acres with 50,000 tropical plants! Guests could explore 9 acres of waterfalls inside the atriums of this magical getaway looking for surprises around every corner.

In May 2010, however, tragedy struck when a historic flood hit the area and forced its closure.

But that didn’t keep down this resilient resort. Renovations began immediately after and by November 2010 it had reopened better than ever before!

In 2012 Marriott acquired the resort further increasing its appeal to travelers everywhere who sought out an unforgettable experience they would not find elsewhere.

🎬 Visiting Nashville Opryland

As my 61st birthday drew closer (it certainly didn’t feel like 62!), I realized what perfect timing this trip had been – not only did it allow us much-needed rest after such a long year but also gave us plenty of fun things to do during our short stay in Nashville!

It really made me appreciate how versatile Gaylord Opryland is.

They offer something special no matter if you come alone or with your family truly making them an award-winning destination worthy of any traveler’s attention!

Whether you’re looking for a relaxing getaway or an adventure-filled vacation, this resort will not disappoint!

So when in Nashville, be sure to visit Gaylord Opryland Resort and get ready to enjoy some true Southern hospitality!

I would love to have to stayed a few nights in one of their luxurious rooms.

But since we travel with our crazy dog, Harley, we will continue to RV across the country.
